The Fountain of the Tritons in Piazza Vittorio Veneto
The Tritons Fountain is the work of the South Tyrolean sculptor Franz Schranz on commission from the Municipality. It was erected in 1897 in honor of the 50th anniversary of the reign of Emperor Franz Joseph I, an anniversary that would occur the following year. From the shell supported by two tritons and a nereid gushes the water that bathes the deities. The tub was made of Aurisina stone.
