Casa dei Mascheroni (1901)

In via Tigor n. 12 stands the "house of the Mascheroni". The sculptures that adorn the entrance are so called, followed by a large access gallery enriched by two sets of statues. All this, despite the recent restorations, is in a state of serious degradation. It is no longer possible to distinguish the frescoes of the Roman painter Buda and the large garden that stands inside is in complete abandonment (note the remains of statues representing children and a St. Anthony).
In this sad-looking house, the great champion of free and Greco-Roman wrestling Giorgio Calza found death after a long and painful illness.
